On Ponting’s Disappointment

After his side’s inability to take ten English wickets at Cardiff, Australian captain Ricky Ponting has been talking about his “disappointment” at England’s “delaying tactics.”

It’s true that England sent the twelth man on liberally towards the end of the day, but in eleven overs there should have been ample time to dismiss James Anderson or Monty Panesar.

What’s more disappointing is hearing Ricky Ponting moralizing about the tactics of an opposing captain. “Punter” has been accused of worse in the recent past, as have current Australian tourists – Brad Haddin step forwards:
